Super comfortable, very large bed. Spotless bathroom. In fact everywhere was spotless. The building itself was lovely, particularly the courtyard and breakfast looking out to the river and gardens. Staff were charming and efficient - all staff, from reception to bar. No wait to checkin or leave. Liked the peaceful location outside the madness of Oxford in summer - 15 minutes to Westgate to park in the evening.

We booked the least expensive room which wasn’t small but very comfortable, a full complement of teas, coffees, biscuits.. very clean, nicely designed, very comfortable bed and pillows.. very clean bathroom. Staff were polite and friendly, common parts placed at random locations nicely designed, as was the lighting. Dining room and staff excellent, I wanted a soup different from the evening menu menu and it was found without any fuss, they really try to go beyond expectations.. I look forward to staying again. The reception staff were amazing, Heet was great, service with a smile nothing was a problem for him to deal with. I took my elderly mother for some time out. Heet was very polite, caring and attentive. Emily was great on helping us on the phone. Both a credit to your Hotel.

Breakfast was very good. Room was spacious and the facilities were very nice. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and polite. The entrance, bar area and reception is stunning, mixing the old barn with touches of modern decor!

The hotel is great. The room was lovely and clean, and the swimmign pool was also nice. The best part was the breakfast though, there was so much choice and it was all very tasty.

This Hotel is the best I have stayed in for ages - the only problem was that Booking.com said that it was dog friendly and when I arrived it no longer is - However the lovely girl at reception was so fantastic - so my dogs and I stayed in the most ideal room - perfect, with a door to let them out - I fed them in the bathroom - they provided bowls and beds for my dogs even treats! The dinner ( I had, was excellent ) the service outstanding and I enjoyed staying here more than any other hotel i have stayed in for the past 40 years !!!

All of the staff were very welcoming and attentive at all times. We took a lovely walk along the river and were lucky enough to see several canoe boats training. It is a short walk to the lock, which is conveniently placed next to the Kings Arms. Only a 5 minute walk away. If you do think of eating there, do make sure and book early they rarely have room for walk ins. Make sure and enjoy the open steak sandwich at the hotel bar. We wished we were staying longer so that we could order it again. Great place to relax and unwind. If you are interested in the history of the place, make sure and talk to the manager. He was very informed and interesting.

We travelled as a family and have been a few times, and had different rooms during our stays. The room with the garden entrance was just amazing - cozy, nicely furnished with lovely views over the garden - very sweet. The other two rooms were also not bad. They were all not very large but pretty and comfortable. The breakfast was not very large and diverse but nice - there was everything you wanted to have for breakfast

We had a wonderful stay. Staff were lovely (Ashika was super helpful with travel tips into Oxford and just a generally good host). Everyone in reception and the restaurant were fab. The food in the restaurant was incredible - faultless. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Would (and will) return in a heartbeat.
